Welcome to the Woolwich Netball ClubWoolwich Netball Club was established by Marist Sisters College Woolwich (MSCW) many years ago and was handed over to a group of hard working mums who wanted their daughters to continue playing with their school friends.
Although the club no longer has direct ties with MSCW, a vast majority of our members currently attend or previously attended the school. Over the years the club has expanded to one of the largest in the ERNA Competition. We had 18 teams competing in the ERNA winter competition. Players do not have to attend MSCW to play, we are a community based club and welcome all new players. The club is one of the largest in the ERNA competition with 17-25 teams participating in each competition. Woolwich Netball Club also runs the largest umpire development program in our association with 25 umpires representing our club in the last competition. If you are interested in joining a team, please contact [email protected]. Woolwich Netball Club is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation and as such have appointed Libby Klingberg as a Member Protection Officer. She can be contacted at [email protected]. All members and volunteers are to abide by our codes of practice which are aligned with Netball NSW. |
End of 2025 Season Wrap Up
As we approach the end of the 2025 season, it's nearly time to say goodbye to Meadowbank Netball Courts. We have one more week of finals to play, and then we officially close the chapter on our time at Meadowbank.
For many of us—players, coaches, and parents—Meadowbank has been a place of cherished memories, filled with Saturday games and cheering from the sidelines. While it's a sentimental farewell, we're also excited to move on from the sinkholes and uneven surfaces that have challenged us in recent years.
Starting in 2026, we’ll be relocating to the brand-new netball facilities for the Eastwood Ryde Netball Association (ERNA), located in the Ryde Council area. This is part of a larger multi-sport development underway at the former Marsden High School site. The new venue is designed to meet the needs of our growing community and will feature state-of-the-art amenities, especially for netball.
New Facility Highlights:
-29 outdoor netball courts with amenities, including a café
-4 indoor multipurpose courts
-Communal spaces with open lawns, picnic tables, and seating
-New car and bicycle parking areas
-Plenty of car parking!
We’ll share more details and photos once the venue is completed in early 2026.

-Woolwich 3, 7, 11 & 13 who placed 2nd
No Spring Competition in 2025
Please note: There will be no Spring Competition this year, as Meadowbank courts will be demolished following the conclusion of the winter season.
Thank You to the Woolwich Committee
A heartfelt thank you to the Woolwich Netball Club Committee for their tireless work before and during the season, enabling 211 club members to play, coach, and umpire each week.
Special thanks to our outgoing committee members:
-Jo Doornbos – Kit Convenor
-Elyse Doornbos – Social Media & Marketing Coordinator, Umpire Convenor
We also extend our deepest gratitude to Pia Jenkins, our Secretary, who will retire at the end of the 2025 Winter season. Pia has shown incredible dedication over the past three years, supporting members and managers, coordinating volunteers for the canteen, BBQ, and umpire tables, and helping manage club communications. Please join me in thanking Pia for her outstanding service.
Thank you for being part of what makes Woolwich such an amazing club. We look forward to seeing you all in the 2026 Winter season!
